This sector is the one who had the highest level of expansion in the recent time due to the politics of the governments to reduce the CO2 emission and to create a more sustainable energy production less dependent from the classical fossil fuels.
Governments attracted investments in the sector heavily subsidising the energy produced by renewable energy plants with different methods and mixes depending on the countries (tax deduction or fees paid by the government on every KW/MW produced, tradable ‘green certificates’ or other kind of incentives).
Investments in new and more powerful technologies are heavy in this sector and governments direction is to continue being less dependent from the Oil&Gas.
